  • Draw a map of where you grew up.  As you are drawing, jot down the memories, events, and people that come to your mind.

  • Input into Inspiration (or on paper depending upon our computer capabilities) the memories, events, and people that you listed during the map drawing activity. 
  • Group these items by themes and identify the themes. 
1:30 - 2:30 Writing
  • Choose one of the themes on your theme map and write a story about that theme.  The particular memories, events, and people you listed that are connected to that theme may serve as specific examples in your story that speak to your theme.
  • Pay attention to the elements of what makes a good digital story as you are writing your story.
